Art of Problem Solving Academy

Come visit our table to see how BEAST you are at mathematics! We will have math puzzles and problems for grades 2-12 and information about our math and reading summer camps. 

 

Club SciKidz NOVA

Club SciKidz NOVA believes that every child is a scientist and that we can make children even better scientists! Our extensive variety of camps and classes include veterinary medicine, robotics, forensics, video game creation, and more! Students attending will participate in demos creating and programming robots using LEGO, and see how everyday items can be used to create movie special effects!

Forensic Fun Sessions

Identify fingerprint patterns, and view skeletal and body models.

Hungry Harvest

We will have a farmers-market style set up with various produce items on display. We will also provide flyers with Hungry Harvest discount codes. Participants will be able to take the fruit home with them towards the end of the event. 

Mason Game & Technology Academy

Try out our VR gear and games our instructors have created! We have Fall, Spring, and Summer programs that teach kids ages 9-18 about the exciting world of game design.

STEM exCEL

STEM exCEL provides the best variety of STEM courses like 3D Printing, Programming, Fashion Illustration (new!), Robotics, Game Design, Electronics, Website Design, Digital Art, Comic Book Illustration, and Minecraft Chess clubs!  We will be providing several interactive Robotics exhibits for families and students in learning more about our 2018 Summer Camps.

Titan Robotics will be doing a variety of drop in activities. We will have a robot demo where we will showcase our 2018 competition robot. We will also be doing STEM activities such as building mini catapults with popsicle sticks and making circuits using LEDs and conducive play dough.

Visit our watercolor chemistry station that uses the technique of salt and watercolor for interesting abstract patterns on paper created from the physical and chemical reactions of watercolor pigment, water and salt. You will leave with an interesting and colorful artwork on paper!

Build a Bridge

Students will get an introduction to structural (bridge) engineering and the roles/responsibilities of an engineer. They will then have the opportunity to design and build a bridge with limited materials and design constraints.

Rock And Fossil Identification

We will host a drop-in Rock and Fossil Identification Lab. Students can drop in and we can show them a variety of rocks and fossils and teach them some basics about the three major rock groups (Igneous, Sedimentary, and Metamorphic) and some majors classes of fossils. Attendees are encouraged to bring and rocks or fossil from their homes that they would like identified!
